What is the matter with the Indian courts? An arrest warrant for Devyani's housekeeper?
Further, when the allegations against Khobragade first surfaced, an Indian court issued an order against the housekeeper, ordering her not to take legal action against the diplomat, according to the Hindustan Times.
When it became apparent that the woman was cooperating with American authorities, the court issued an arrest warrant for the housekeeper and requested the U.S. officials have her detained and extradited back to India.

It seems the Indian judicial system is under threat from the American courts.

Many, many many Indians... educated Indians lie when bringing maids (called house helpers) to US. I know quite a few of those guilt-free 'respectful Indians'.Rishi wrote:Further, when the allegations against Khobragade first surfaced, an Indian court issued an order against the housekeeper, ordering her not to take legal action against the diplomat, according to the Hindustan Times.

I'm surprised by the outrage in Indian community, who live among those Indians when they visit India.

This is the most arrogant and corrupt stunt pulled by politicians and bureaucrats I've ever heard. You wantonly break the law to cheat a few hundred dollars a month and then resort to punishing your maid, the victim, for it. God help the Indian political, diplomatic and justice system. Barf.
