What is the reason for the U.S. court to allow this case, related to the events in India following the killing of Indian prime minister Indira Gandhi by her bodyguards.

It's like if a member of certain American community (X) on the staff (security detail) of U.S. Pres. harms or kills him, and then some people belonging to the X community in the U.S. start distributing sweets in the the streets. Seeing this on the part of members of X community, the members of Y community in the U.S. get mad and start beating and harming the members of X community. Is there any reason or justification for a court in Delhi (India) to have this case heard about the events in the U.S.?

Americans are overwhelmingly white. Hence considered superior to everyone else in the word and acknowledged as such by the browns and blacks.

So the Americans are always right in whatever they do.

"The SFJ complaint against Sonia Gandhi invokes the federal court jurisdiction over the case based on Alien Tort Statute and the Torture Victim Protection Act of 1992 giving the survivors of human rights abuses the right to sue the perpetrators in the US."

What human rights abuses? It was mostly the outcome of members of one community distributing 'laddoo' (sweets) in the streets after the prime minister was shot dead. People basically got mad as a result of 'laddoo' distribution after the P.M. killing and attacked the community which had some of its members distributing the 'laddoo'. Even though very unfortunate, it was more of a spontaneous and short-lived mob reaction rather than any well-planned and systematic human rights abuse against the particular community.

Is sonia listed as defendant as an individual? she was not even a member of congress in 1984. is she asked to respond as president of congress?
