this book (http://www.amazon.com/Stringer-A-Reporters-Journey-Congo/dp/0385537751) and the author have been doing the rounds on NPR and the daily show. i liked ted koppel's review on NPR, but he was a nervous interview subject on the daily show which made him look and sound more genuine. might pick it up to read it one of these days.
