WB gangrape

...A villager said, "If that girl returns to this village we will throw her out. We will pour kerosene on her and set her on fire."
If there is one instance that calls for a collective punishment, it is this one. The whole village needs a collective punishment cutting it off from outside world and isolating it for 10 years.
Stupid villagers. So much for Bengali progression.

My ass they are...One Tagore who wrote 2 songs, one BC Roy and one Netaji - who was not a smart enough politician. They are just as smart as the Beggardeshis.

Basically the britishers developed three port cities in India. Bombay, Calcutta and Madras.
The people of these cities had better education opportunities compared to the other regions of India and early adapters of the western culture and ideas. They ( Marathis , Bengalis and Tamilians) started looking down on other people/languages/cultures and some of them became chauvinistic.

Tamilians did not look down on others AFTER the Brits established Madras. They were full of pride, ego, and some arrogance long before that - for 3000 years. So they always looked at other Southies as fellow brethren who need to be protected....
