why do people who nitpick a lot and say everytime when they are nitpicking that 'I am being nitpicky', say it with an air that it's the BEST state to be in? Like it makes them exclusive, rare, nutty geniuses and hence, totally above the rest.

why does kks do that in every review... why why why?nitpicky 82819051

It's a defense mechanism, to mean that "I do a lot more than just nitpick." The guy is worried that people will think he's only a nitpicking Flim Flam who can't add anything to the topic at hand. So he prefaces with his remark as "I am nitpicking" so that when he doesn't use the preface, you are to assume that he is not nitpicking but adding something valuable to the conversation.

It's the classic Hindi movie dialog... dog, crook, brother-in-law. In this case, she's talking about her boss.

I'm being nitpicky here, but this should read as scounderel or rascal.
