thanks! i don't do any of this stuff. guess i am just part of a population that gets it even if it doesn't indulge in any of these risky behaviors. i've gotten used to it. it's ever present, a comforting cricket noise, a BFF.

it's also annoying that the articles always focus on people who have a propensity to listen to loud music or expose themselves to loud sounds. you can get it even if you don't do any of that. my only explanation for that is a genetic one.

Max I seem to recall u giving links to songs where occasionally u've said that to obtain full enjoyment the song should be listened to at high volume.

yeah sure. that is rare however. the norm for me is to listen at a reasonable low volume.
