On a Day such as This..

On this crappy day I will take time to make a list of things I am grateful for

I have a job that i LOVE
I have family and friends I ADORE
I can still laugh at the silly things in life
I have skills you wish you knew *grin*

For that I am grateful Smile

- decent health of family members and myself - this part was sorta rocky last year, but better now.
- roti kapda aur makaan - sounds blue collar, but one learns to appreciate when one has almost lost all this once.
- close friends i could pour my heart to and laugh and cry with.
- that I love someone.
- that someone loves me.

in some other era i might have written - grateful for my books and learning new things, travel, beauty of the world, blah blah, but once you have fought for the basics, this sorta gets pushed until you are in a very comfortable situation again.

One might take this one for granted but it is soooo important..

yaaaa am sorta fuzzy on this. lotsa conflicts between heart and mind, lust and love, old and new, practical and feelings...

All I know is that I feel love and I feel loved. I guess one can divide love too in sections. Love as in crazy mad about each other, now this is the one we are conditioned to identify as love since teenage; and love as in having a peaceful co-existence and shared future goals for the kids, just sounds too materialistic and practical but it is still love. Maybe you go through the phases with the same guy, or maybe sometimes you split up these emotions somehow because you still want to hold on to and experience that teenage notion of love. To me, at this stage of my life, the one who is there to build a life for my kids with me is my soulmate. Everything else is a timepass that one can indulge in every once in a while.
