Who is left for Seemandhrans vote for in the coming elections?
- Not Congress, because it was Sonia and Chidambaram's persistence (for electoral advantage in the coming elections and whatever else), and Diggy Singh / Veerappa Moily / A.K. Antony / Azad's execution of her order that divided the state.
- Not the erstwhile central ministers and Congress MPs (who would wear different clothing for the coming round), namely Purandareswari, Kavuri, Chiranjeevi, and the rest of the gang, for obvious reasons.
- Not Chandrababu Naidu, for his ridiculed two-eyes approach (he was satirically referred to as "rendu kalla kabodi," (blind in both eyes)), and primarily his written "no objection" for dividing the state.
- Not Y.S. Jagan, for he accelerated the division. When his dad died, he felt succeeding him was his constitutional right, and when Sonia had other plans, he started undercutting her. As a result, Sonia faced the situation of losing the whole state to Jagan's new party. She wanted to cut her losses and salvage the Congress party (read Rahul, Hindustan ka beta saheb) Telangana at least. So sooner the division, the better it was for her to consolidate her position in Telangana before she kicks the bucket (she is afflicted with some disease that required treatment in U.S). It's almost like Jinnah wanting Pakistan pronoto because he was dying with TB.
- Not Modi and his BJP, because they too helped pass the bill by voice vote during the parliament TV blackout, and Sushma Swaraj started talking with her other tongue when power was restored.
- So, is the only choice that's left is Kiran Kumar Reddy, and hope that he starts a new party? Oh no!
- Why not that Ashok Babu, the SA agitation leader, start something?

Unity of the state is, perhaps, not a sensible option any more.
May be Ashok Babu should align himself with Lok Satta, Hazare, CPM, AAP or even TMC and campaign for eradication of political corruption.
I agree with you that CBN shot himself on the foot in AP (SA).
Even in T, I am not sure if the voters have any clarity on how they should vote. TRS has been using a heavy-handed approach to mute the voices of Samaikya Andhra supporters. BJP, TRS, CONartists and TDP may split the vote in T.
It will be interesting to see how Hyderabad will vote. I bet, TRS and CONmen won't get a single seat there.
If the vote on T bill is stalled in RS, perhaps, voters in T and AP regions will have time to introspect and the outcome in 2014 election will guide the central govt. on the T issue.

Re: Who is left for Seemandhrans vote for in the coming elections?
Just watched Burkha Dutt's interview of Chidambaram on Telangana. The guy is twisting the facts - He says that Telangana's merger with Andhra was a "forced" one (it was not; in 1956, the Hyderabad state's assembly overwhelmingly voted in favor of the merger). He was saying that Sri Krishna committee was recommending the division (Sri Krishna committee, in its secret report, advised the central govt. that division will be a big mistake). He was saying that the Congress party consulted with everyone and had clarity on Telangana since 2004 (this is a blatant lie; from YSR to MT, everyone was playing the T card if and when it suites their election prospects; neither GoM on T nor Antony went to AP to seek the views of common man). He was saying that CONmen have been very tolerant of Kiran's ways (in fact, Kiran was clear on T from the beginning and he ran into a brick wall once MT had decided to cut AP into two for the sake of her moronic son). He was saying that the majority in T are opposed to be with AP (what is his evidence for that? TRS only has 10 MLAs). Burkha didn't ask him on how CONartists in Delhi can ignore the views and needs of 65% of the people of AP. The whole AP (SA) region is ignored in the decision making process, even in parliament, that affects their lives and future). (Interestingly, Burkha didn't have a program on her "The Buck Stops Here" or "We the people" from Vijayawada. She had at least 4 of them in Hyderabad with KD Rama Rao and Madhu Gowda, Owaissi, etc., showing her bias towards T.)
It is this kind of BS that leads the people of AP to suspect that Chidambaram has a hidden agenda - to split AP to diminish it's clout in Delhi.

ashok babu, what do we know of his capabilities except for a speech or two he made? being a successful leader has more requirements than just having reasonable views and make good speeches

Ashok Babu or any other new person (even JP if he were to come back to Andhra) on the scene with good intentions should not be dismissed purely on the basis of lack of experience. That is true especially in light of what all those "experienced" people brought forth.
The man does have popular support (which is a rarity in Andhra these days), and with an agenda for all around development and clean administration (by hiring the right people purely based on merit), who knows, he may even succeed.

can he win elections? if good intentions and popular support among educated urban voters won elections, JP would have won sooner

Actually, Andhrans (and Tamilans too) are idiots and tend to pick the least of the evils.
It will be YSR (lots of money), and when Kiran Kumar starts a new party he will get a share.

I used to think that Kiran was sincere but not so sure now after the way he behaved in Rajya Sabha elections . It seems everybody is in cahoots with Sonia. Kiran , Jagan ,KCR . And before CD says "told ya" , there is still ambiguity about Kiran's "conspiracy".
