But don't blame Modi or the BJP (for declaring Modi as the prime ministerial candidate) for that, for Modi being the one man show going into the elections. If the Congress and other parties had declared their prime ministerial candidates before the elections, it will be more than a one man show now (ahead of the elections). Thus the fault lies with the other parties, foolish to not name their P.M. candidates before the elections.

As per the Indian constitution it is the elected MPs who choose their leader who will be the PM. So by declaring their PM beforehand, the BJP is in violation of the Indian constitution.

Those who say that there is no need under the Indian Constitution to declare the names of prime ministerial candidates (potential Govt. leaders) by the political parties before the elections are trying to fool the voters and turn India into a wishy-washy parliamentary democracy,

The decision of making Modi PM candidate has been taken by RSS which consists of unelected individuals. Their anointing Modi as PM candidate is what is turning India into a wishy washy democracy.

If Modi becomes the P.M. after the elections, after having been declared as the P.M. candidate by his party before the elections, he would have gone throuh a thorough public scrutiny as the potential Govt. leader (P.M.) of the country, in addition to winning the parliamentary seat for himself and also lead his party officially in the elections as the declared P.M. candidate.
Can you say the same thing about other political parties which plan to choose their P.M. candidates after the elections, thus avoiding the proper scrutiny of their P.M. candidates by public during the elections and even expecting that their candidate will be able to assume the role of prime minister through the back door (without proper public scrutiny of prime ministerial candidate during the elections)?
