The deputy PM in the Vajpayee government, who had opposed Modi's elevation to the chair of the party's PM nominee last year, also described the Gujarat chief minister as an able administrator.

"(But)...I would not compare (him)... certainly not to Atalji (former PM and veteran BJP leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee). Atalji was a class by himself. The main ideologue of the party was Deen Dayal Upadhyay and the person to implement it (ideology) in governance was Atalji."

Amid the 'Modi for PM' chorus, Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar had termed Vajpayee a more 'liberal and dignified leader' than Modi a few days ago.

Since Advani's views are important to CONartists, what does he say about Pappu?

Is Pappu better then Nehru, Indira or Rajiv?

How about this - is he better than Dev Gowda?

We don't know since we have not seen him in action when it comes to governance. That is why I feel he should be given a chance to prove himself. Even Modi was a total greenhorn when he first became CM of Guj.
