is sriram navami celebrated outside ap?

Srirama navami is celebrated in a.p. with lot of fanfare. In many places street plays were staged in the olden days. Hari katha were told.
Is it celebrated outside of a.p. ? My recollection is yes. Can people from other States comment on that. Does north have that celebration?

It was celebrated even in Ayodhya - until the adamant muslims forced the Kar Sevaks to pull down the place of worship.

May be he is preparing to takeover Besharam Baba's business, now that the latter is busy in jail with the CON symbol.

The auspicious occasion commemorates the birth of Lord Rama, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who was born to King Dasharatha and Queen Kaushalya of Ayodhya.

The festival is celebrated on the ninth day of Hindu lunar calendar's Chaitra month (March-April). Besides the birth of Lord Rama, Lord Rama and Sita were also married on the day.
