i enjoy all of them, but my favourite, by far, is the last, penn masala's a cappella -- unaccompanied-by-instruments -- version. it is a mash-up of an american pop song and o re piya; you'll need to wait until about 1:26 for the latter. the transition is done well.

i know of rohan kymal from max's long-ago post about shankar tucker's productions of indian music. 

i can't watch the movie version after about 2:26 when rampant mush and unfettered cuteness, emanating from the camera-wielding baahb - or is it jean-claude? - starts marring the music.

Michelle, I'm totally disappointed that you've started listening to Northindian songs. A capella is only lipstick on a pig. It don't make it right. Not one bit. You turncoat.
