American Medical Association - one of my many many societal enemies (former).
Hinduism is the only one that has goddesses, and I would like to remind people of that. Being a devotee of Ramanujan's favorite Goddess - having even more rights than he actually did - I am invoking my favorite Goddess.

Re: They did not go to IIT
I do not know what you mean by not going to IIT. These guys went to RPI one of the best engineering schools in USA. They got good education.
What set them apart is they are good entrepreneurs who understood the local grind and what it takes to succeed in India. Good story. Hope many more of us could emulate that story.

===> What I meant was the following.
1. There are brilliant engineers who graduate from Tier II engineering colleges in India.
2. Whatever Engineering achievements that happen in India seems to be done by Non-IIT graduates.

One data point does not make a statistic.
"2. Whatever Engineering achievements that happen in India seems to be done by Non-IIT graduates."
You could argue:
2. Some Engineering achievements that happen in India seems to be done by Non-IIT graduates.
But when you go for "whatever" suggesting "all engineering ..." and attributing their success to non IITans, you statements are not backed by presented facts.
On the other hand, your way writing is amusing and causes people to react.

Re: They did not go to IIT
My question is Mangesh kale was a national swimming champion and a member of the Rowing team. Reallyyyy
These guys graduated (1991) at a time when it was almost impossible to get a decent job. PhD from anywhere. Smart guy went to India and started the company. Stuck to it and succeeded. Also, looks like most are from Univ of Pune from a single Eng college. Many times, desperation is the best driver for entrepreneurship.
In any case, good for them and the country.
