Congratulations to RAW uppili VP

Six months before I said Choosing narendra modi as PM candidate is a tactically wrong move. Todays results show it was an error. That feeling was based on my desire not to elevate modi to PM because of 2002. As elections came close and as I talked to many people, I recognized that indian people's desire for change is very strong and people picked modi as their voice.

You guys along with others were firm in your support to modi. May be you believe in his hindutva philosophy. I don't.

Congratulations.

In my view modi was a risk 6 months ago and still think he isl a risk. I hope he overcomes any demons he may have inside his mind about any past experiences and governs the nation as a good leader.

Based on what I heard and read, modi demonstrates very capable leadership skills, and people's skills . As a person of Indian origin, I wish him well and expect him to do a sterling job of improving indian people's living conditions. More development, more jobs and stability.

If I remember right, it was the indomitable Uppili, who first suggested in this forum, that BJP should nominate Modi for PM. He had the foresight.
Next time Uppili says something, even in jest, we need to watch out! Smile

I do need to thank him for kindling my interest and it was a fascinating experience to listen to many of his rallies and interviews, with Modi probably being one of the few Masterful orators in recent times.

But there is nothing personal here. It is India which has voted and they will want results.
He and his chosen team has to show progress on economy, security, and many other issues. For him the work just starts. He needs support from an able team. It is an enormous challenge.

I humbly dedicate your congratulations to the Intellectuals who constantly fed ghee in to the fire - called Modi campaign.

Still Modi is a Genie released from the bottle by the RSS. Modi cut down the RSS/VHP to size in Gujarat upsetting the RSS, which had downgraded him. It its own calculations it decided to support Modi and Modi decided to "become" a RSS man (again).

This is like a calculated arranged marriage in which both sides belong to the same caste. Does not mean the marriage will be all hunky dory. RSS should be smart enough to let Modi run his show and just slowly infiltrate and take over organizations across the country over the next 15 to 20 years. RSS always plays for the long-term and I suspect that is what their game plan as well.

to those like kris who seem sanguine about modi not wanting to rake the mud, attitudes and desires like the one bolded above are very much alive. the kansas gan nayak (KGN) is hardly alone.

I guess Max is more concerned (worried ) about RSS members than Muslims. I have not seen any violent RSS members in SI. May be NI RSS members are different than SI RSS members (Just trying a Maxian logic here).

(I still remember local RSS chief in my hometown requesting my dad to send me and my bros to RSS meetings which my dad refused and we did not like either).
