Modi's Ganges Puja unnerves Muslims

....In Varanasi, party workers and security officials took Modi’s photo as Hindu priests chanted over loudspeakers. On the bank of the Ganges, Modi clapped his hands softly while listening to Hindu hymns. He joined other BJP leaders in performing a ritual conducted as a reminder that god is at the center of life.

Doing Ganga Arti in Varanasi or Hardwar is no big deal. The UP govt was wrong in not allowing Modi to do it before the elections.

When I went to do it in Varanasi, there were these little girls (8-10 yr-old) selling these trays with diya and other puja stuff for the Arti. What amazed was that those girls not only spoke Hindi and a few other Indian languages, but they could speak English, French, and German too. There were a few foreigners who were also offering the Ganga Arti, may be to get some Indian experience (been there, done that..).

I am surprised that the extremely brilliant DMwit Yadav IAS didn't file a case against Modi for noise pollution. This guy reminds me of the sikular IAS officer in BIMARU Bihar who didn't want some guy working under him to wear a dot on his forehead because it offends monomaniacs!?!? Our own excessively brilliant fukularists were supporting that guy.

Speaking of dots (and vibhooti) on foreheads, I wonder why DKhead K'nidhi didn't ban them in TN.

Is he suggesting that Hindus should be "afraid" and not to rattle the muslims ? Is he calling them violent ? is he saying they might burn down a train ?

I am 102% sure no train will be burnt...perhaps, just an engine.
