If Congress was any other political party with a semblance of internal democracy, the leadership meeting following its worst electoral defeat ever would have seen several heads roll. One might have expected Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Digvijay Singh, and several others to lose their jobs -- or be forced out to make room for new leaders. Congress, of course, is not a political party as much as it is a phamily bizness. The CWC resolution said: "Above all, we should introspect as to why we were unable to connect with the electorate." Clearly, they are not up to the task that is "above all" in front of them.

Exactly! They can't get out of the rut until Congress remains a one family team.
