KCR doing a Kejriwal in Telangana?

He just won the election in Telangana and slated to be its Chief Minister. But he would rather put on his agitator hat and agitate against Polavaram project.

KCR won't win on this one. Before the merger of Hyderabad state with Andhra, Bhadrachalam and some mandals in Khammam belonged to W Godavari. After the merger (1959?), they were added to Khammam. KCR wanted pre-1956 Hyderabad state's area to become Telangana (and he harped about a "de-merger"). He should be happy that AP people are not complaining that Bhadrachalam is given away to T.

He may be trying to lobby for more from Polavaram project (more electricity?) for T. But knowing his behavior, he is not doing that. He is just creating trouble for AP which is set to gain a lot after Polavaram.

It is unfortunate that T has to put up with this guy as their CM.

Is this along the lines of the arguments on Article 370? If I were a Telanganite, yes I would want every inch of land that was considered a part Telnagana in the united state, what's the need for going back to pre merger borders. and he has been consistent on Polavaram issue.

The reports I read said he agreed to part with those lands in the Khammam district that will be submerged as part of gaining the Telangana state. Notwithstanding that fact, once he is in power, if he takes to streets to protest against something he dislikes, he will be compared with Kejriwal, and rightfully so. He has to make his case as a responsible Chief Minister.

Odds are he will not be a responsible CM. He knows how to play to the gallery and that is what he will seek to do once he is power.

One theory is that kcr is raking up controversy to keep media busy. His promise of making an sc person as cm is creating some heat for him. He wants to milk andhra issue to the last drop.

One can only hope kcr will act more responsibly after he takes oath.

Andhra voters didn't really have a choice in this election. So they went with the lesser of the two evils, TDP. But I have my doubts on how strong/tough, CBN can be in protecting Andhra interests. He still has rendu kaLLa siddhantam and dreams of capturing power in Telangana too. So he has to walk on eggshells to not to give the impression that he is against Telangana. KCR has no such compulsions. And he can put CBN on the defensive and paint him as the villain if he doesn't get his way in any matter relating to Telangana.
This polavaram issue is only the beginning.

A very apt analysis. Things are only going to get worse for Andhraites with CBN's latest plans to emerge TDP as a national party. I'm afraid Andhraites will end up losers once again in this chess game.

May be, that is what he is thinking. If he is, he is not any smarter than Sonia. He won't win in T and he will be screwed in AP. If his candidates contest in Odisha, Karnataka, etc., he may get his 6% seats to be called a national party. In what way is it useful to him? May be, he should change the name of TDP to "Veyyi kalla paarty"!
