Sceptical of Maharashtra government's classification of Pune techie Mohsin Shaikh's murder by alleged Hindu Rashtra Sena activists as a mere 'law and order' incident, the Centre has asked the state why it should not be treated as a case of communal violence.

P.S. Maharashtra Govt is run by the SECULAR NCP-Cong(i) alliance whereas the center is ruled by the communal hindu BJP alliance.
