Prime Minister Narendra Modi hiding wife is offence: Court
The court said “an offence is committed under section 125(A)(3) of Representation of People (RP) Act by not disclosing facts” about Modi’s marital status.
Section 125-A(3) of RP Act deals with penalty for concealing information while filing affidavit and provides for imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months.
The court, however, said as per CrPC section 468(2)(B), the complaint for the offence has to be made within one year in cases related to the violation of section 125(A)(3) of the RP Act.
As the complaint was submitted after a year and four months of alleged offence “cognisance of complaint cannot be taken and an FIR can not be lodged now”, the court said.
CrPC section 468 prescribes limitations to non-serious cases where the imprisonment term does not exceed three years.

All this wifey/husband thingie is outdated in these times of Diggy-Amrita sex video.

CD,
Get over it, man! Show some perspective. Do you think anyone gives a cr*p that this guy didn't disclose an unconsummated marriage that took place when he was in his teens? Seriously? If there is going to be a serious opposition it needs to be on substantive issues. If the opposition keeps up this nonsense, it will become a case of the boy who cried wolf, if ever the real wolf shows up.

Actually this tells us about his decision making capabilities in a great deal. He may not be able to make firm decisions in tough situations ( he has already shown us by backtracking LPG Suitenatural gas price hike). Also, I take it as, going by your response, he is above the law. People are denied visas, security clearances for not disclosing information let alone getting elected to the top job so it ain't no nonsenseKris wrote:confuzzled dude wrote:Hope you're not suggesting he is above the lawKris wrote:>>>>And how has the public been shortchanged by this particular non-disclosure?confuzzled dude wrote:The court said “an offence is committed under section 125(A)(3) of Representation of People (RP) Act by not disclosing facts” about Modi’s marital status.

You still dont get it... The alternative offered by Cong(i) was a Space scientist who could mentally calculate escape velocity in Mars and a Bar maid turned White master, and oh..Amrita Rai's "boy"friend.
Against these even Modi's Cow would be a better choice.

All Modiji has done thus far and all the indications are that Modi sarkar is merely a continuation of previous sarkar so don't go ga over Modiji's genius coefficient.Marathadi-Saamiyaar wrote:confuzzled dude wrote:Actually this tells us about his decision capabilities in a great deal. There was a discussion on TV5 Telugu channel where everyone concluded that since liberation (1990) every government whether bjp or cong had similar policies

>>> No, it does not. A quick look back at the impeachment fiasco with Clinton would be instructive here. If you want to continue with this as the issue to rally behind, it is your prerogative but this will not gain traction and the opposition will lose even more credibility if it jumps on this bandwagon.

It gave us Dubya & Dick; rest assured country is still reeling from after effects. Not sure about rallying behind part, no one is suggesting Modi should be kicked out based on this statement from the court(s)Kris wrote:confuzzled dude wrote:Actually this tells us about his decision making capabilities in a great deal.
