Traditional Malayali Hindu women wear a saree and NO BLOUSE. They let their long hair drop free.

How about Malayali Muslim women? Is there no blouse inside the burkha?

A young sadhu rescues the pretty naked girl drowning in Ganga while his guru gets agitated and closes his eyes!

After the student abandons the guru, the guru starts to meditate wondering what "has gone wrong" with the student!

:-)

He cannot be simultaneously meditating and thinking about what happened.

Further nitpicking :-).
He cannot start to meditate. Meditation is not an activity that he can start and end at will. He can at best settle down with an intention to get into Meditation.

Actually, in the original story, the student realizes that he is not gaining much from the guru and decides to move on. The teacher is still stuck with his vasanas. So, even if he tries to meditate, he can't go too far. This guy can't do what you are suggesting he should be doing.

The version of the story I read is , Guru rescues the girl and carries her across the river. Then they continue their journey and after a while Sishya asks the Guru why he carried her as they are not supposed to touch women. Guru replies that he was doing his civic duty and tells the sishya that he (guru) only carried her across the river and left her there, but the sishya seems to be still carrying her (in his mind).
