purchased KNDI, which is a chinese electric car maker. I think it has potential to go upto 19 in short term..will buy more if it moves up to 15.40 on strong volume

seriously, I feel this new rule change in china to make 30% of all govt vehicles fully EV is a game changer for kandi. yes tesla has a leg up, but china historically preferred domestics over foreign, especially american

1) american VCs, angel investors, and govt agencies funding such things will lose interest right at the point that a few more years of effort will push it over the hump of getting the first commercial product out.
2) the chinese will steal IP like they always do.

well speaking strictly tesla, they are way beyond VC funding but I think elon musk is making a mistake by putting his battery technology in public domain. on one hand it'll make further advances quicker elsewhere in the world but hard to see where it'll be a net positive for US industry as a whole. but musk is a visionary able to see around the corners so should be interesting to watch.
now solar industry is a different story: it's in shambles with series of missteps and missed opportunities. american shortsightedness is part of it.

Solar German companies are way ahead because of their long term outlook. us, republican short sightedness and selfishness doomed the industry. The financial might of us may still allow them to get back in the game but it is tough.

I sold it yesterday...as a leveraged ETF it's not a buy and hold vehicle. everytime there's a reversal I sell it and buy it back around 30. yellen saying they arent worried about inflation is a negative for gold and miners
