My other language friends ask me: " Why there is always a hue and cry from Tamilians only ,whenever somebody talks about the greatness of other languages? Is Tamil a very weak language that you people always feel insecure?"...
One of the reasons why TN is sidelined by all central governments is due to its non aligned and adamant attitude of politicians opposing all central initiatives. While CBSE intends to celebrate Sanskrit week, there is no body stopping TN education dept to celebrate Tamil week or for that matter no one is stopping any state governments to celebrate their language. No body is forcing anyone to learn Sanskrit. If people have already opted for Sanskrit as second/third language, it is based on their interests. And no body has the right to stop them from celebrating Sanskrit week. Sanskrit is one of the oldest language which brings in lot of spiritual wisdom and culture. Why don't you look at taking the goodness of any language/culture rather than cribbing every now and then?
