Confu, the problem with Islam is that the Quran talks extensively about the non-believers and divides ppl into two groups: the righteous believers and the evil non-believers. It's us vs them and that is a huge problem. A lot of negativity there. it appears that Allah is so bothered abt the ones who don't acknowledge him. He craves for loyalty. i don't know of any other religious text doing that.

The 'us' got narrower and the 'them' got broader. Even the co-religionists are
not considered to be 'true' muslims. We have seen that since Islam was formed. That is what happens with the 'exclusive' ideology. With the 'inclusive' ideology, the 'us' gets broader and the 'them' gets narrower.

Sounds just like our caste system. How is this unique to Islam? Every religion is exclusive (unless you count Universal Unitarianism as a religion). There are umpteen Hindu scriptural references that grant superior status to some castes over others, and denouncing some others as outcastes. Nothing inclusive about that.

Really? From what i read in the Gita, the four tire system was according to the gunas. Even otherwise, which Hindu scripture went on and on and on about denouncing them or the ones who don't believe in the scriptures or the gods? How many wars were fought in centuries long history of hinduism in the name of religion against the non-believers or the low castes?

Anytime when things are said as they are abt islam by a hindu, the apologists come up with the caste system and try to cover up the real issue. This is the lamest thing ever! have the courage to look at the bigger problems in islam.

Yeah, cherrypicking something from the Gita to claim that Hinduism is inclusive while ignoring the various smritis is no different from how Muslims unfailingly claim their religion is one of peace and universal brotherhood.

Where did you see any apology for Islam in my posts? See, I don't care about Islam. I do worry about ignorance-laden beliefs in the superiority of Hinduism, which makes people complacent to the risk of Islamist kind of fanaticism poisoning it. So I don't bother about the bigger problems in Islam - let its followers and all those, haha, courageous Islam-obsessors on this board do that.
