If Israelis can re-establish their country after 2000 years (after leaving it for 2000 years), why can't Tamils re-establish their country after 1000 years (living there all along)?

I read this in Readers Digest after my class ten. The book section in Readers Digest was on Israel's 'Six day war' with 6 countries. That was the first time I found about Israel and role of countries in shipping Jews on ships after the 2nd world war.
