Here are three statements, all of them true:

* America’s job market is doing better than most of its peers’ after the Great Recession
* America’s job market isn’t doing so hot
*America is creating a lot of low-quality jobs, but its job quality could be worse

the title of your post is misleading; the statements you've made, however true, do not represent reasons why the u.s. economy is performing better than those of other countries. what you've listed are some signs of the u.s. economy's performance.

I hope that the washington post was not equally misleading.
