Changing names of towns in Karnataka

Changing the names of Allahabad, Ahmedabad etc could be construed as a move against Islamic names, don't you think?

Obviously you don't care. But I doubt if the Modi govt will sponsor any name change to these cities with Islamic names for fear of reprisal or backlash from the muslim vote bank, let alone from the likes of Confuzzled Dudes.
