this, run to you, a sad, soft, sentimental piece of vocal harmony, absolutely unaccompanied by any musical instrument, i think, is PENTATONIX's best so far. for the curious, here are the lyrics.

and here, for contrast, with nee nenaindal, are vidya and vandana, the iyer sisters, singing in unison, united in melody and sisterhood, accompanied by shankar tucker on the clarinet, and totally unencumbered by the notion of harmony.

finally the a cappella - no instruments! - group that i admire the most, penn masala, with a mash-up of aadat-apologize. they zoom and soar!
