The courtiers at Lord Rama's court, and Rama himself, seem to be dressed in mughal dress. In the painting Rama is depicted as receiving Sugriva and Jambavat, the vanara kings. These vanara kings are also dressed in mughal dress. I suppose the painters in the mughal court did not know how else to dress royal people other than in mughal clothes.
