Here is a celebration that is clearly created by commercial interests with no real historical cultural roots.
Some time in 1990s Nov 11 was made into a singles day celebration in China. 11/11 appealed to numerology believing communist / rational Chinese youth.
Ali baba the mobile retailer is announcing that they transacted 8 billion dollars in singles day related business.
Who says religion is dying?
