Offline communication
Can you communicate offline (like you do with Sulekhs CH notes) on this forum?

Yes you can. Click on the "You have no new messages" on the top. Then click on New PM. Notes are called PMs (private messages) here.indophile wrote:Can you communicate offline (like you do with Sulekhs CH notes) on this forum?

Re: Offline communication
I have never received a PM nor sent one in years of CHing. I do remember a whole bunch of ""x", check your notes" posts on CH. I wonder what people send in those private messages. If you personally know someone on CH wouldn't you communicate through Yahoo IM or email or phone?

Re: Offline communication
i think you can also use the PM icon next to the poster's post... I have not yet used PMs here. I rarely used them in sulekha too.. i did post a lot of fake 'caru check ur notes' posts.. man did they rile up bnp no end.. I sorta regret those now.

It was one of the early steps in the evolutionary path from CH to this forum.Tracy Whitney wrote:i did post a lot of fake 'caru check ur notes' posts.. man did they rile up bnp no end.. I sorta regret those now.

Re: Offline communication
We are still working on the guaranteed-reply feature in the PM module. In the meanwhile, your message may become clearer if you pepper it with some <!--s and -->s. I am told it's the latest urbandictionary street lingo.Propagandhi711 wrote:is the PM functionality broken? I sent the following to a ch-ini (presumed) and havent heard back yet (4 hrs and counting)

don't go by the names. The females here are way geekier than the male handles.

Imagine you sending a message to a female and post here "hey cutiepie, you have a PMS. Please check"
