No one, however, was prepared for what happened next. The script had suddenly turned from what looked like a happy Karan Johar romcom to a Ram Gopal Varma redux.

At the wedding in Aligarh on Thursday night, the bhabhi (sister-in-law) was so excited that her devar (brother-in-law) was tying the knot that she leapt up and kissed him even as the bride and her family looked on in deep disapproval. Undaunted, the bhabhi pulled the bridegroom to the dance floor and shook a leg. That kind of broke the camel's back.
