Anna Hazare announces shit strike!

Rights activist Anna Hazare announced he will commence a shit strike from Tuesday to pressure the government into enacting stronger legislation for a watchdog over the anti-corruption watchdog. His announcement came right after the government announced Suresh Kalmadi and A. Raja as the Secretary for the Ministry of Truth agency, which will act as the anti-corruption watchdog.

After a series of meetings with government representatives, Hazare concluded that they were not serious about acting on the issue. "I vow to constipate to death if they don't create a watchdog to watch over the lokpal. Suresh Kalmadi and A. Raja cannot be made to head the lokpal! That's fucking insane!"

When asked why he is changing tactic from a hunger strike to a shit strike, he responded, "my hunger strikes don't seem to be bringing about the desired changes. Plus, hunger strikes are passe! My shit strike will bring a fresh start to the revolution. There will be a change of heart - flowers will bloom and birds will chirp and corruption will miraculously vanish from this land! Bharat mata ki jai!"

Later on, he ate a kachori and cut some cheese.

Oh ok. That explains it. I was wondering what Baburao meant when he said this: “If such things continue, we in the civil society will have no other option but to choose another way.”

I think you did not read his announcement correctly. What he said was just the opposite. He said he will call for a million-man agitation at the Ram lila grounds where enema will be the only drink provided and the satyagrahis will adapt a "Diarrhea against Deception" slogan and stink the Central Govt into quick submission
(Anna ji also opined that hopefully, the Govt. will build a million latrines all over India to root out the public's defacation along with the original goal.)

P.S. I must admit that the proposed million-man diarrhea agitation is nothing compared to the agitation by the Anti-hindian movement in 1965 in TN.
