Ban Amazon, eBay, FlipKart - RSS
....Citing an example, he said while a publisher gives 35% discount on a book to bookshop owners, the CEO of the same publishing firm orders the same book on Flipkart at 50% price. “So we have asked the Finance Minister to ban them by law and plug the loopholes". Mahajan demanded that Jaitley respond to this in the upcoming budget.
They do have a point. Wal-Mart kills mom-and-pop stores in communities. e-Commerce CAN kill mom and pop retailers in India wholesale - against selling all chinku products.

Ali-Baba wants to now take a stake in Flipkart. So there is an issue.Marathadi-Saamiyaar wrote:

But the solution is not to ban it, but put a limit on what constitutes products made in China, and define a limit on the total percentage by value that one product from China, is sold in India and also total revenue from China sold in India.
When you define what constitutes made in China, we should make it fairly strict.
For example something is assembled in India, the amount of components imported also should be limited. Also include in the total tally of China, products from other country (like Nepal for example)
that has Chinese components.

Very true. Also ban all those online travel sites because they are throwing travel agents out of work. Ban Uber and fleet cabs because they are throwing metered cabs out of business. Ban online banking because that cuts down the number of branches and destroys jobs. Ban online brokerages because old Jigar-bhai who used to take orders over phone is losing business. In fact, just to be on the safer side, ban internet altogether. And why confine this to online?
Ban all those multinational food chains - McD, Dominos, KFC, Taco Bell etc - because they are taking business away from the neighborhood Udipi joint. Oh come to think of it, shut down all those Udipi joints because they are tempting people to eat out more, leaving women with more time outside the kitchen, giving them uppity ideas about their place in society (and making them vulnerable to love jihadists).
All our societal problems can be traced to women wearing jeans and talking on cellphones and that has taken place only because of restaurants, cellphones and womens' jeans-makers. Ban them all, I say. Ban sufficiently and then we too can become the Tali-Ban. Provided we eat enough goat. Together we can. Jai Shri Ram.
