simplify your life this weekend (another protip from Bittu)

Like me, I'm sure all of you have a big box of user manuals of everything from electric hair trimmer to major appliances. This big box occupies a lot of space and it's a bytch trying to find anything in there. Takes a while to dig up what you're looking for.
Solution? Download the PDFs and save them all in a "User Manuals" directory on your computer. Throw out that nasty box of manuals. It'll be so easy to find stuff quickly too.

PS: Back up all your docs on a weekly basis, if you're not doing that already. I mean if you're not doing that, you need to get a kick in your buttaxes.

What does one do when the hard drive crashes, eh?
keep a backup of the User manuals directory on a separate hard drive, remember to update that pretty regulartly too, and yeaaah just to be sure, keep printouts of all the pdfs in a safe?

Back up? Every $#@! manual is available on the Internet. All you need a google engine to search and read it when you need it. Noback up no nothing. Do not even bother. When you need a manual, find the item # from back, front, top or bottom and enter on google. There you have everything.

Betichod TAZ you miserly penny pinching douche, I wrote about backing up THE HARD DRIVE....that has a bunch of documents, pictures and what ever else, not just the user manuals.
