Kashif Parvaiz "walked his wife to her death" when she was shot on a Boonton street on Aug. 16, 2011, a prosecutor told a jury Wednesday.

"He walked her down a dark street to her execution," Morris County Supervising Assistant Prosecutor Matthew Troiano said in his opening statement as Parvaiz' murder trial began in Superior Court in Morristown.

Parvaiz, now 29, of Brooklyn, faces charges including murder and conspiracy to commit murder. He is accused of arranging for a girlfriend, Antionette Stephen, now 30, of Billerica, Mass., to kill his wife, Nazish Noorani, 27, and wound him in an attempt to make it look like a random bias attack.
