Re: Happy Valentine's Day...
Happy valentine's day all... hope you enjoy the day with your valentine and/or family, if you believe in it and stuff.
XH was earlier like, let us all go to hibachi. I said, 'no way. Why spend money and stand in line for 1-2 hours? Will just eat at home, order chinese maybe'. He still repeated hibachi like 4-5 times saying he been wanting it for a while now.
In the same conversation somewhere, I told him not to buy any flowers or gifts. He said he got something for older. I said, 'That's ok, but don't get anything for me'. He goes, 'Why would I buy anything for you?!', but with a cheeky smile.
That was stupid and vain on my part. I said a bit assertively, 'I am telling you beforehand. Don't bring me anything coz every year you try to'. He asks, 'Why shouldn't I get you anything?' I said, 'because, it's a waste of money'. He replies, 'I think of it as an investment'. What? I said, 'You don't need to invest anything in me...' He walked off mumbling something that I am glad I could not hear*.
Anyway. looks like it's gonna be hibachi for us. long lines, big crowds, garlicky food. *fun*
* talking of hearing... you know how sometimes people mumble lovey-dovey things ... and then there's a dhakkan like me, with my hearing disabilities, can't hear what they are saying, and it's kinda rude to ask to repeat... but later I keep guessing what they must be saying. Story of my life.

That's a typical wife's mentality. Non-wives shouldn't be bothering about it. What's it to you when he wants to spend 'his' money?Beatrix Kiddo wrote:Happy valentine's day all... hope you enjoy the day with your valentine and/or family, if you believe in it and stuff.
