Re: happily ever after
Not sure how this topic got started... but a couple of days ago, I heard over my headphones older and xh talking. She was saying something about putting us in old age homes. I nodded thankfully that she was willing to bear that expense.
XH said proudly, 'Well, I am never going to go in an old age home'.
I thought of something that's been weighing in in my mind recently. XH and I are of same age. Given our respective family histories and comparing all oldies in his family and mine, I am gonna age much faster than him. I think I have already started looking a bit older than him. So I said, 'well, I am going to age faster than papa, and have more diseases, so he will have to take care of me'. Then I realized how we are bound by nothing to take care of each other, so I added, 'I mean if we are still living together then'. He felt offended, 'what do you mean we will not be living together'. So I shook my head and said, 'nah you can't take care of me anyway.' He asked why. I said coz he is too immature and can't take care of anyone diseased. He replied confidently that no one on earth can take better care of me than him, and he will develop whatever maturity is needed for it.
People have told him often to become a salesman.

"happily ever after" is a fantasy.Seva Lamberdar wrote:"happily ever after" seems just a fantasy.
People age, grow old and then they die. That's it.
