other than this, Perry was SCARY and i wish romney stodd up to his "romneycare" consistently even though obama mirrored it...



still loved romney. ron paul would made a radical running mate:-) so, who would be a good running mate? jindal?

Why is Jindal a star? He was only a star because he won at a time when Republicans were losing everywhere. His national speech was lame and not sure if his state is a shining light of progress either. I think if someone picks Jindal as a running mate, he will lose.

Bobby Jindal would make a nice scary running mate, like Perry. But Pawlenty is angling for that spot with Romney.

If Obama is still standing in polls in mid 2012, Perry and romney could be 1 and 2 in either order. Looks like Perry changes colors more often than romney. Perry supported Gore in 2000 and was a democrat in those years.

More than republicans, economy will beat Obama. On his side is the resilience of American economy despite all the negatives, it is still making positive progress. A slight dip in un employment would help Obama but electoral college does not look favorable with swing states trending away from Obama. He got a lot of work to do.

i don't think he supported gore in 2000. it was in an earlier campaign.

Wikipedia says:

"Perry supported Al Gore in the 1988 Democratic presidential primaries and chaired the Gore campaign in Texas.[18][19] In 1989, Perry announced that he was switching parties, becoming a Republican"
