What purpose does this (yet another pointless) slogan serve? Somebody tell this moron that only those parents who didn't kill their daughter(s) participate in this campaign and they already are proud parents of their female child.

asking people for a "#SelfieWithDaughter" (i.e. to go and take a photo with the daughter) seems to be more meaningful and appropriate than "Garibi Hatao" (whatever that means!).

it's a publicity campaign, and spreads pride in, and love of daughters to those who might otherwise not be welcoming to daughters.

it costs nearly nothiing, is executed nearly instantaneously, and is highly effective. what a splendid idea! shabash, narenbhai!!

Unless you're being sarcastic I don't think this campaign would be of any use. The primary reason for female infanticide is the financial burden of raising a female child, not sure how these empty slogans will help improve that situation.

Just bcz you dont like the judgement they give does not mean the justice system is bad. We are talking about Indian justice system.

Since you brought it up...It is the same American justice system that upheld gay marriage/rights, Obama care, etc.. Very difficult to prosecute white collar corruption unless the accused can be connected FINANCIALLY to some violation. Besides, if they did it as part of their work (under orders) and could not be proved of any personal advantage - it is a lost cause. Barara would have jumped on charging any number of looters - even more, if at all he could.
