But why?
There is a reason why almost all the cities are close to the US border. If we blink, all the cities will sneak across US border. That should give you enough idea - Think and Think well.

Btw the life in Canada is more relaxed (at a bit slower pace) than in the U.S. The food also usually is better there. A lot of things to enjoy in Canada in summer, including the weather which is nice. The Canadian winters are not too different from those in the northern and N-E U.S.A.

I see more Indian English spoken and understood in 2015 than in 1990.

Have couple of friends at Vancouver, BC and they love that place. Also it seems to be always in the top-5 for best places to live on the planet (climate, economics, acceptance of desis etc). Something these people keep bragging about.

Vancouver is the best place in Canada or even better than US. But, there are some small issues to living in Vancouver and more issues living in the 51st state of US.

Re: Paging Canada residents
looks like you're very angry seven. i have no problem with madras at all. in fact, until fairly recently, madras sounded more natural to my ears than chennai. however punjabis and other northindians pronounce madras as mudh-rAs or mAd-rus.seven wrote:And you're from chennai. mAd-rus has the same syllable lengths and meter as sAm-bur (for sambar).

Hmm.... It's good that they changed it halfway to its original (Telugu) name - Chennapatnam.MaxEntropy_Man wrote:looks like you're very angry seven. i have no problem with madras at all. in fact, until fairly recently, madras sounded more natural to my ears than chennai. however punjabis and other northindians pronounce madras as mudh-rAs or mAd-rus.seven wrote:And you're from chennai. Not angry. Just reminded of punjabi names for different places is all.

The as 'the' United States
