find out if their poverty would be alleviated if there had been UCC (uniform civil code) in India, one law for everyone irrespective of religion, race, gender and caste.

muslims are poor because of their religious fanaticism . instead of working most of them waste their time in praying five times a day . one month per year is wasted because they fast that month . other time is wasted in other religious rituals and religious activities .

also their population increases in hordes , so each child receives only a small share of his or her parent's money and property . imagine a couple having five children---the norm for muslim couples . on the death of that couple the money and property has to be divided among five children . so how much will each get ?? not much .

All the stuff you were alluding to, applies to lower caste & Dalit Hindus as well, would you blame that on the shortcomings of Hindu religion?

Lower caste population does not increase in hordes nor are they praying to god five times a day.
But there is no denying that casteism is a problem. but the condition of Muslims is even worse because of their religion.

What segment of population do you consider as lower caste Hindus? Did you check the population growth of Hindus in BIMRU states?
