Bihar will be peaceful and prosperous because ..........
........monomaniacs were happy to vote for Laloo and CONmen. These highly sensitive and fragile people were being provoked by VHP, RSS and other highly violent chaddi outfits and they all turned to Laloo and CONmen for security and support. It is highly laudable that the pieceful didn't resort to violent ways of VHP and RSS. Modi should resign for hurting the fragile sentiments of the pieceful. There should be H (women) and M (men) synthesis, India should be painted green and saffron color should be banned. All streets in Delhi should be named after Moghul kings, streets in Chennai after Arcot nawabs, Bengaluru airport after Tipu Sultan, Hyderabad streets after the Nizams, Mumbai after Aurangajeb, Varanasi after Gazni and Prayaga after Ghori..........

To think that Hindu voters in Bihar, who constitute majority in that state and most of them don’t eat beef for religious and other reasons anyway, voted for other parties as a reaction against BJP due to a few BJP officials suggesting before the elections a ban on beef-eating makes little sense, and it is like saying that the Muslim voters (in Bihar etc.) would vote against a political party if some of its officials before the elections suggest the continuation of religious law (Sharia, for example).
Perhaps the real reason for BJP’s loss in Bihar lies in something else, such as being seen as a threat to the continuation of caste based quotas in education and jobs, or even perhaps the EVMs functioning questionably, deliberately or otherwise. Note the following response (in italics and red) from one of the posters,
"I noticed sudden and dramatic shift in favor of the Grand Alliance around 10.10am (initially NDA was leading in most precincts from start at 8 am that day...)..."
The above statement definitely raises the possibility of a mid-operation tweak (locally or from a remote location) during the vote counting by EVMs, just like a mid-course “correction” (by using a remote control) is possible to a faraway Mars mission. Moreover, it warrants immediately a manual recount of votes in Bihar, at least in some constituencies, to put all doubts to rest. Needless to say, except the manual recount of votes (at least in a number of constituencies), there seems no other way to ascertain the proper quality control and quality assurance in the case of EVMs (including vote recording and counting by them).

Tell me something first. Does a voter casting the vote on EVM put a mark on the paper (ballot) against a candidate's name (thus creating a hard copy of his vote), or does he just press a button etc. against a candidate's name recording his vote in the memory (magnetic-tape etc.) directly inside the EVM?Rashmun wrote:Seva Lamberdar wrote:To think that Hindu voters in Bihar, who constitute majority in that state and most of them don’t eat beef for religious and other reasons anyway, voted for other parties as a reaction against BJP due to a few BJP officials suggesting before the elections a ban on beef-eating makes little sense, and it is like saying that the Muslim voters (in Bihar etc.) would vote against a political party if some of its officials before the elections suggest the continuation of religious law (Sharia, for example).
