Wonder what purpose would these hasty and what appear to lack a sound strategy bombings serve other than to feel-good about themselves. Two days after an attack, is ISIS going to sit in Raqqa welcoming these bombings. Looks like politicians are already worrying about their next election and jumped into damage control mode to say they've accomplished something.

So what do you suggest France do in response to the Paris attack ?

>>>For once I agree with you. This may be political or just a reflexive response or maybe just to feel they have done something about it. Even if there are some immediate gains, the war is going to be one that has to be covert and tactical at the ground level to eliminate the leaders.  It cannot be boots on the ground/money thrown at it and indiscriminate bombings. A second prong will have to be on the domestic front trying to tackle the home-grown recruits. It will be an uphill battle and the engagement has to be nuanced and not an overall  brute force reaction.
