"Genes can take conscious eating to a new level. Instead of measuring calories, vitamins, fats, proteins and carbohydrates, a genetic diet goes directly to the body's responses in a way that was unknown a few decades ago. Once you realize that your entire life has been a conversation between your lifestyle and your genes, you'll never eat the same way again. This is the big news. Far from being locked away in isolation, fixed and unchanging, our genes respond to how we live our lives."
>>> He is hustling the idea of "epi-genetics" --- long term influence of environment and living style, including diet etc., on the genetic make up --- using his own lingo.

Deepak Chopra is a good businessman. He is mixing Indian (and Greek) traditional thinking with modern epi-genetics and coming up with high sounding explanations of mostly simple cellular/molecular biology.
A traditional Indian guru would shun this kind of students. Unfortunately, he has tasted financial benefits through his approach and probably thinks that he is smarter than the traditional Indian scholars. People like him will, in the end, live an unfulfilled life. They will have trouble coping with the lack of attention (and income) when society moves on and ignores his BS.

Epigenetics has pretty much put to end the theories of ancient population migrations and Out-of-Africa model, which relied heavily on genetic testing of present humans,Vakavaka Pakapaka wrote:Deepak Chopra is a good businessman.
