Nehru, Bose, letter and Congress Criminal Legacy
...The letter, dated December 27, 1945, is addressed to Britain’s then Prime Minister Clement Attlee and says: “Dear Mr Attlee, I understand from reliable sources that Subhas Chandra Bose, your war criminal, has been allowed to enter Russian territory by Stalin. This is a clear treachery and betrayal of faith by the Russians as Russia has been an ally of the British-Americans, which she should not have done. Please take note of it and do what you consider proper and fit." The letter is signed: "Yours Sincerely, Jawaharlal Nehru".
The letter is believed to be among the 100 files on Bose, popularly known as 'Netaji, declassified by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday.
What a shame...Nehru being a traitor and Congress lying to the country to cover up its criminal antecedents.

Poopili, did you know that Shashi Tharoor and Ramachandra Guha have dismissed this so called letter of Nehru as a forgery? i bet the letter was concocted by bhaktas like you.

....Congress on the defensive. Congress controlled all commissions and omitted everything, while its successive governments routinely lied about Bose. Now they are caught with their pants and panties down.

Don't get so excited, Upps Aunty. If Nehru wrote the letter, it should be available in the British govt archives of the time. Unlike the Indian govt, their archives are easily accessible and they have nothing to gain by hiding that document.
PS: Very entertaining to watch chaddis try and appropriate every dictatorial figure they can find from the Congress fold, each one known to be staunchly anti-RSS in their lifetime!

i see bose's name buzzing around a lot lately but haven't taken the pains to look into the reasons for the chaddis' recent excitement about bose. a shorty summary explainer will be much appreciated.

Nehru's letter calls Bose a "War Criminal" and expresses displeasure at Britain's ally Russia to give a home to the "War Criminal - Bose"
Question:
Is Bose a Criminal ?
If not is Nehru a Criminal and a traitor?

This news item gives a summary of the story..
Notice that even way back in 1971 a commission noted the deposition by Nehru's Stenographer about his writing a letter to Attlee calling Bose a "war Criminal" The controversial letter - which the congress calls a fake - states exactly what the stenographer deposed 45 years ago.
The old-time stenographer has more credibility than ANY of the Cong(i) members today.

Chaddies are desperate to paint Nehru as anti-national, pro-muslim and a weak PM. They want current generation to believe that Bose would've made a better PM (even though his views are as socialistic as Nehru's, if not more).MaxEntropy_Man wrote:i see bose's name buzzing around a lot lately but haven't taken the pains to look into the reasons for the chaddis' recent excitement about bose. a shorty summary explainer will be much appreciated.

Except Gandhi, not a single PCC actually nominated Nehru for Congress President. But MK Gandhi prevailed over Sardar Patel, and asked him to abdicate his right in favor of Nehru. Nehru was probably more qualified to be FM, rather than PM, a fact conceded by Maulana Azad himself.confuzzled dude wrote:Chaddies are desperate to paint Nehru as anti-national, pro-muslim and a weak PM. Still 12 out of 15 Pradesh Congress Committees, the only legal bodies having power to nominate and elect President of the Party, nominated Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

And about Bose, given his track record (aligning with Japan & Germany), I'm convinced the he (had he become PM) would've made wrong choices and turned India into a Pakistan way before what Pakistan had become into what it is. IMO, there should an asterisk next to his name given his affiliations with rogue states.

CD,
You certainly are an ass. Bose was a nationalist and he aligned with the enemy of enemy of his people. His methods were different from Gandhi and Nehru. But your irrational projection of Bose's future actions are as idiotic as they can get. You have to learn shut the fuck up if you do not know about the topic. Keep your verbal farts limited to Jagan's future.

I would put a lot of faith in Mahatma Gandhi's actions than some clueless person's words who was born decades after India got independence. Taliban were called freedom fighters by Reagan, look how things turned out after they got into power.truthbetold wrote:CD,

Taleban was NOWHERE on the picture when Reagan stepped down in 1989. I can give you a lesson, but it will be no use. So google or Wiki for info and learn yourself - that will be more effective, if at all.

Mullah Omar only rose to prominence as a leader, against all the former Mujahideen that the Taliban ultimately defeated during the Afghan civil war much after Reagan's term. But continue patting yourself on the back for making half-baked statements.

Are you saying that he did not participate in Afghan-Soviet war? Keep repeating the phrase half-baked only makes you look insecure.Hellsangel wrote:Oh I have , Confuzzled Comrade who cannot admit you are making half-baked statements.confuzzled dude wrote:Why don't you, the-dishonest-member-of-SuCH?Hellsangel wrote:Why don't you look it up, Confuzzled Comrade?confuzzled dude wrote:Says who?Hellsangel wrote:
