I had a tricky issue. Once my cousin visited us along with his Fiance - both are Madrasis. We did not if we should let them sleep in the same room or separate rooms. Of course, their own parents did not care (this was more than 10 yrs ago). And, luckily they both went about setting their things together in the same room and got ready to sleep in the same room without asking us any questions..

Still didnt' read ANY of the links, hence just responding to the subject line.

The only thing I can draw from my own experience as a teen, even though it wasn't on the same scale, since I never did it before marriage (TMI touters I don't care).

My take is, ideally, if they are doing it, it doesn't matter where. But if you lay down some kinda rules like these, or forget "rules", even if you show displeasure for this thing [i.e. doing it under my roof], (as the ideal rule is nothing before age 20-21), chances are that they won't just respect that, but they won't go too wild when outside the home too. Kids do care what your opinion on every issue is. It's best to not let them be confused on where you stand.

And it's always better to be a bit on the conservative side. Coz the kids always cross the limits anyway. Better your limits be a little more right of where you want them to eventually go.

I take it you are asking about sex under your roof ?

If the couple isn't married I wouldn't let them sleep in the same room

Yep, same here - if they aren't married one of them better sleep on the couch.

We are saying they cannot be in the same bed UNTIL they are married .
