NEW DELHI: The woman who accused climate scientist RK Pachauri of sexual harassment today ripped into TERI, the organization he founded, for creating the post of Executive Vice Chairman for him even though he has been removed as its chief.

"Shamelessness abounds! The news of promotion of a man who stands booked on charges of sexual harassment at workplace...makes my flesh crawl," the woman said in a statement.

Yesterday, Dr Pachauri, who has faced sexual harassment charges for a year, was replaced as Director General of the non-profit think tank by Ajay Mathur, a technocrat who began his career in TERI.

TERI informed its employees that Dr Pachauri will stay on as the Executive Vice-Chairman - a new post. Sources said he will exercise executive powers and retain his fifth floor office.

Dr Pachauri has been accused sexually harassing the 29-year-old woman when she worked as a researcher with him.............
