Review of Rockstar movie

I watched Rockstar over the weekend. I will give it a 4 out of 5.

Ranbir Kapoor is a good actor and I think he has a good future. He has talent, for sure (unlike Abhisek and others).

The movie is about how a middleclass college guy with a guitar falls in
love with a pretty and rich girl. She gets married to some Duke of
Euro-lala-land! Then hero becomes devdas and connect after a few years
and then some boo-hoo-wah-wah goes on for a while. First, they have
post-marital coitus and then she has cancer. She dies. She DIES. Hero
become sad and lonely.

So I think all the checklist items were met:

X Pretty girl + Pretty boy
X One is super-duper rich and other is bollywood poor
X Unfulfilled romance
X I love her soo much I have to kill myself "Devdas" style
X I am so horny for him/her I gotta get some "Murder" style
X Songs sung by sufis with western beats
X Cancer death
XX Hero / heroine spouting philosophical platitudes

Go watch it. Knock yourselves out!

Normally, I'd say fuck it. I've seen this regurgitated shit a million
times but this one is different because the whole point of the story was
that the hero was bored of his mundane life and was desperately seeking
this pain. His goal was to feel pain. The more pain he found, the better was his music.

gosh you ought to keep up with the times !

this is an old movie

im not sure pain was the goal.perhaps i didnt take it seriously and see it as such

on the whole i liked it

abhishek is the better looking and talented actor sir !

It's not an old movie, is it?

I thought it was a new movie and for a change, I was now in sync with the times.

I thought it was a new movie and for a change, I was now in sync with the times.

ChamCham is an expert in watching pirated movies on his/her laptop the minute a movie gets out in India. Don't listen to him/her.
It is a recent enough movie and I enjoyed your review. Succinct and to the point.

But the second half was sooo boring. repetition and more repitition. and that saong sadda hak ethe rakh..wat was the point of that? its not like he was fighitng for some cause or watever...it was an alright movie and i agree ranbir has lot of talent but movie wasn;t 4 out of 5

maybe 2.5
