some people reading this would say 'she was mentally ill. if not a gun it would have been a knife' to which the response is: you have a chance against a knife, you could succeed in running away, but very little chance against a gun.

the daughters in fact managed to escape from the house (after being shot inside) but the mother came outside the house with the gun to shoot them again, this time fatally. Now if the mother had a knife the two girls would probably have survived.

If it were my kids I would have tackled her, grabbed her, stood in front of her. Anything to stop her from killing my babies. If he had enough time to formulate a sentence he had enough time to do something other than talk.
