The people in the cartoon are Gajendra Chauhan (FTII head), Pahlaj Nihalani (censor board chief), and the person doing the talking who is Chetan Chauhan, former Indian cricketer, who has been appointed the head of NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology) by the Modi Govt.

Wrong title. The BJP govt lost him, not the other way around. He is a tenured full prof at the U of Chicago and a much sought after academic. It's india's loss that the relationship didn't work out, not the other way around.

You are right, but let's not forget that he himself was interested in continuing in his job as he clearly indicated in his resignation letter.
